Member Liaisons
The Federation maintains excellent relations with members and deals with important issues in all sectors of the industry through various committees and liaison groups.
Courses and Seminars
The CEF provides a range of highly useful and informative courses, seminars and other events aimed at both managers and construction professionals.
Most of the courses count towards CPD points required by professional bodies. CEF members are entitled to significant discounts and many courses are approved for CITB grants.
Planning Advice
The Federation provides a free consultancy for one hour for members on planning issues. This service is provided by Turley Associates, one of the leading planning consultancies in Northern Ireland.
Legal Hotline
In association with Carson McDowell, one of the top law firms in Northern Ireland, CEF are offering members exclusive free legal advice for up to half an hour on a wide range of legal topics. If any additional time is required, members will be charged at a discounted rate.
Health & Safety Support
The Federation provides the following health and safety support services: Site Safety Inspection Service, CSR, Safe-T-Cert, Health and Safety Courses & Seminars, Leaders in Construction Safety, Action Cancer/CEF Big Bus and Best Practice Guidance.
Environmental Support and Advice
The Federation provides free professional advice to members on legal environmental queries and provides a quarterly updates to an Environmental Law Register. We also provide a protocol for the use of topsoil and toolbox talks.
Tender Query Support
The Federation provides a free service and takes a pro-active role in promoting and persuading clients to follow best practice in tendering for construction projects and are often successful in changing onerous tendering conditions.
Employment Support
CEF provides its members with a variety of free information and assistance regarding employment issues including wages, holidays, terms and conditions of employment.
