CEF wants to ensure that there is plenty of support available for companies preparing for their first audit. We also want to ensure that this support does not add an extra cost burden.

We are therefore putting the following supports in place:

1.1 Template documentation

On signing up for NVIR-O-CERT you will be provided with a wide range of template documentation which will make your job of preparing for audit that bit easier.

1.2 Workshops and mentoring

CEF is working in partnership with CITB NI to provide a series of group workshops and one-to-one consultancy support to help construction companies, particularly SMEs, to put in place processes to manage their environmental impact. This training intervention will aim to bring participating companies to the point where they are ready to undergo their first NVIR-O-CERT audit. There will be a minimal charge for this support for companies registered with CITB NI.

Final details of this support package are currently being agreed.

CEF has also commenced discussions with CITB NI regarding financial support for on-going training for companies following certification.
